Intentional vehicle ramming, chat spam, and map griefing can ruin the experience for drivers on your BeamNG.drive (BeamMP) server. Fortunately, server owners and admins have built-in moderation tools to kick or permanently ban disruptive players.

This guide covers how to kick and ban players on your Cubes Hosting BeamMP server using in-game commands, the Game Panel console, or server ban files.

Method 1: Using In-Game Chat Commands (For Admins)

If you are configured as an Admin in ServerConfig.toml (see our guide on How to Add an Admin on Your BeamMP Server), you can execute moderation commands directly in the in-game chat (T key):

1. Kicking a Player

To immediately disconnect a player from the server (allowing them to reconnect later):

/kick PlayerName Intentionally ramming at spawn

2. Banning a Player

To permanently ban a player from joining your server:

/ban PlayerName Severe griefing and toxic behavior

3. Unbanning a Player

To remove a player from the server ban list:

/unban PlayerName

Method 2: Using the Game Panel Console (No In-Game Admin Required)

If you are not currently in-game or want to moderate your server remotely:

  1. Log in to your Cubes Hosting Game Panel and select your BeamMP server.
  2. Open the Console on the left menu.
  3. Type moderation commands directly into the console command bar (do not include the leading slash /):
kick PlayerName Ramming during race event
ban PlayerName Map griefing
unban PlayerName

Method 3: Managing the Ban List via File Manager

BeamMP stores all permanent bans in your server directory:

  1. Open your Game Panel File Manager.
  2. Locate the banlist.json file (or check ServerConfig.toml under Bans).
  3. Open the file to view a list of banned BeamMP usernames or identifiers.
  4. To manually unban a player, remove their username entry from the file and click Save Content.
  5. Restart your server from the Console to apply changes.

Conclusion

Keeping your server clean of rammers takes only a single command. Use /kick for minor warnings, /ban for serious griefers, or manage banlist.json in your File Manager to keep your driving community enjoyable for everyone!
