How does Nether Travel work?
In Minecraft, every 1 block traveled in the Nether is equivalent to traveling 8 blocks in the Overworld. This is because the Nether is 8 times smaller than the Overworld. By precisely matching your portal coordinates using this calculator, you can create perfectly linked "Nether Highways" to travel massive distances in a fraction of the time!
Note: The Y (height) coordinate is not translated. You can build your portals at any height you like, though matching the Y coordinates can help prevent the game from generating a new, unwanted portal if the portals are very far apart vertically.
