Cubes Hosting is a game and enterprise hosting provider established in 2017. We operate with a strict "no strings attached" policy—meaning we never use binding contracts.

We operate entirely on a prepaid basis. We will never legally obligate you or your child to make a payment. If a service is about to expire, we simply send a reminder. If you choose not to renew, the service is suspended and eventually removed automatically. There are no hidden fees or collections.

2. Age Restrictions & Account Creation

We strictly adhere to privacy regulations regarding minors. Based on Dutch law (and aligned with international standards like GDPR and COPPA):

• Under 13 years old: Children under 13 are not allowed to create an account. An account must be registered in the name of a parent or legal guardian.
• Between 13 and 16 years old: Teens in this age group may only create an account with explicit parental permission.
• 18 years and older: Once a user reaches 18, they have the legal right to request the revocation of parental oversight.

If you reside outside the Netherlands, we respect and comply with your local jurisdiction's digital age of consent laws.

3. What is a Game Server?

A game server is a private, hosted environment where your child can play online games (like Minecraft) exclusively with their friends.

Unlike public multiplayer servers, a private game server gives you or your child complete control over the environment. You can enable a "whitelist," ensuring that only pre-approved friends can join the game, keeping strangers out and providing a much safer online experience.

4. How Can I Limit My Child's Access?

Our platform provides powerful tools to help you manage how and when your child uses their game server:

• Subuser Accounts: You can register the main account in your name (retaining full administrative control) and create a "subuser" account for your child. You can specifically restrict what actions they are allowed to perform.
• Automated Schedules: You can create schedules to automatically turn the server off at bedtime and turn it back on the next day, ensuring healthy gaming habits.
• Command Restrictions: You can restrict your child's access to the technical control panel entirely, allowing them only to play the game itself.

Our support team is always happy to assist you in setting up these parental controls at no additional cost.

5. Privacy and Data Collection

We value the privacy of your family. We only collect the information necessary to deliver our services and provide support.

As a company based in the Netherlands, we are bound by strong European privacy laws (GDPR). We do not sell or share your personal information with undisclosed third parties. You always have the right to request the deletion of all personal data from our systems once your active services have ended.

6. Transferring an Existing Server

If your child already has a game server with another hosting company, you can transfer it to Cubes Hosting. You will typically need the ability to download your files or backups from the previous host.

Our support team is more than happy to guide you through this process for free. For very large servers, we also offer a managed transfer service where our team handles the entire migration for you (this may incur a small fee depending on the data size).

(Please note: We cannot initiate transfers away from our service to another host on your behalf; you would need to download your files and upload them to the new provider yourself.)
